Features of the ThunderVolt Operating System
• Onboard audio system with stock car engine sounds that are controlled by the accelerator position

• Rider reverse button enables customer to back up spun out kart without attendant assistance. The track system stops all karts while affected kart is in reverse.
• Slow down one or all karts as little as one mph at a time
• Automatic speed reduction before entering pit
• “Pace Lap” speed at start of race helps fit more karts on the track to increase rides per hour
• When “All Stop” is pressed, system brings karts to a stop within 20’ using dynamic braking without any action by the driver
• Zone controls for problem areas on the track. For example, have the karts automatically decelerate going into a sharp turn and then have them return to race speed after the turn.
• This system utilizes regenerative braking and won’t allow the driver to “ride” the brake, preventing unnecessary wear and reducing overheating of the brake system. When regen braking is activated, the resulting current from the motor goes back into the battery pack, charging the batteries. This helps the batteries charge faster between races, use less power during the race and helps extend battery life.
• Headlights that turn on at the start of a race and turn off when it is okay for the rider to exit the kart
• The “Auto-Spin-Out Mode” will automatically put the track in SPIN-OUT MODE if any kart on the track stops for two seconds. A distracted employee will no longer compound the problem by not seeing a spin-out. Once the attendant sees all the karts slow down and the tail lights flashing, he/she will look to see where the spin-out is and if it has been corrected. This new feature also includes messages for the kart that activated the AUTO SPIN-OUT MODE that loudly instructs the driver to back up their kart using the REVERSE BUTTON. If the racer has a foot on the brake, a different message instructs the driver to take their foot completely off the brake to back up the kart or go forward. If after 15 seconds the kart doesn’t move, the attendant can now engage.
• The “Remote Kart Forward and Reverse” mode can be activated when a track attendant sees that a racer is not correcting their own spin-out. After pressing STOP on the handheld remote to stop all karts, the attendant enters the spun-out kart’s number in the remote and begins the process of remotely correcting the kart’s direction on the track and then pressing RELEASE to continue the race. The entire time, the attendant is still standing in the pit!
